What are the basics?
The qualifications are accredited by EAL or Edexcel and have been completely revised to respond to the changing needs of both learners and employers. These courses are relevant and focused on professional industry requirements.

HNC – Higher National Certificate
This is a Level 4 qualification requiring a minimum achievement of 120 credits, making it the equivalent of a first year degree course.
HND – Higher National Diploma
This is a Level 5 qualification requiring a minimum achievement of 240 credits, making it the equivalent of a second year of a degree course.
Who Can Apply?
Due to the tiered structure of BTECs, you have to complete the previous level before advancing to the next. Therefore, to study the Level 4 HNC you must have a BTEC at Level 3 or the equivalent A levels. Once you have completed the HNC you will be eligible to progress to Level 5 HND.
ATG Training actively encourages progression. If you are studying or have recently completed the BTEC Level 3 with us, you are perfectly suited to develop your knowledge further on our HNC course. If you have completed the HNC, you know what to do next!
ATG Training also welcomes suitably qualified students who have not studied with us previously. The same applies to mature students, as there is no age limit for either course.
