Apprentice Tooling Engineer

An Apprenticeship with Alan Spargo is a great way to learn while you earn. You will receive technical training, an experienced mentor and a recognised qualification at the end.

 Alan Spargo is an established company renowned for its high quality services. The Company has an enviable reputation for designing and manufacturing Precision Press Tools for a multitude of industries,from Satellite dish tooling, automotive brackets, gaskets through to machining precision parts for the Motorsport Industry, primarily Formula One.

 

You will be working in a bright, clean factory with a huge range of precision and hi-tech machinery.

 

The successful applicant will be assigned to a Toolmaker who will train you in all aspects of tool making including turning, milling and grinding, right through to assembly and trying out in the 300 ton press.

 

There is the chance to work on higher precision machines such as Jig Grinders and CNC Cylindrical Grinding machines. CNC Wire Erode and Spark Erode are also areas that you will be required to learn.

Training to be Provided

Mechanical CNC Apprenticeship Training to include:

  •          NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
  •          BTEC in Engineering
  •          Foundation Training (10 Week Block Release at ATG Training Feb 2017)
  •          Functional Skills Tests if applicable
  •          Personal Learning & Thinking Skills
  •          Employee Rights & Responsibilities
