The BTEC National Diploma in Engineering Level 3 provides you with a specialised knowledge of the skills needed to begin a career in engineering. The course is flexible and you can adapt it to your needs and abilities: it consists of six core units plus a choice of specialist units.
The Qualification is internationally recognised and can lead to employment opportunities. There are a variety of prospective careers that you can explore, all of which are relevant to your studies, for example: electrician, electronics engineer or mechanical engineering technician.
The BTEC National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering allows you to proceed into higher education. A successful completion of the BTEC Diploma will give those who want to follow a path into University, UCAS points towards their application.
The Mechanical Engineering Diploma usually takes two academic years before completion.
If you are interested in taking the Level 3 qualification then you must have an educational background that involves qualifications at GCSE level for core subjects such as English and Science and/or a BTEC First in Engineering
