Wärtsilä maximizes the environmental and economic performance of the vessels and power plants of its customers They are looking for an Apprentice Machine Operator to join their ever growing team in Slough to become a fully-fledged member of the business.

The successful candidate will:

  • Become trained to use a variety of machinery to enable components are completed inline with the highest possible standards.

  • Produce components using various composite materials as per the design specifications.

  • Liaise with the Production Leader to ensure work is completed on time.

  • Adhere to production schedules agreed with the Production Leader.

  • Adhere to the Company quality procedures as per company quality specifications.

  • Forward suggestions for discussion to improve processes or procedures to the Production Manager.

Training to be Provided

Mechanical Machining Apprenticeship Training to include:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Manufacturing

  • Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering

  • Functional Skills if applicable

  • Employee Rights & Responsibilities

  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills
