Cycle Maintenance Apprentice

Our successful bicycle workshop needs more resources to keep up with demand, and we're keen to help someone learn while they earn. Primarily you will work in our workshop conducting general servicing and repair tasks on all types of customer bicycles. You will also be dealing with enquires face to face and over the phone and assisting with the routine operations of our shop.We will invest in you and help you develop all-round skills, including customer service and sales. We're keen to have someone that is as passionate about bikes as we are and is ready to get stuck into a challenging job and learn along the way

Training to be Provided

  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance & Installation - Cycles pathway;
  • Cytech 2;
  • Level 2 Certificate in Cycle Maintenance;
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English & IT if applicable
  • Employee Responsibilities and Rights
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills.

Skills Required

You need to have demonstrated mechanical skills and interest through your coursework and hobbies.


Qualifications Required

At least 3 x GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English (or predicted).  We expect you to have studied some type of mechanical skill.
