Cycle Maintenance Apprentice

We are looking for a motivated enthusiastic individual to work in our bike shop in Sidcup. Primarily you will work in our workshop conducting general servicing and repair tasks on all types of customer bicycles. You will also be dealing with customer enquires both face to face and over the phone and assisting with the routine operations of our shop. You will also conduct some administration tasks and processing customer orders. You will be trained on the job by our experienced cycle mechanic and will also be trained to Cytech 2 level at ATG Training.

Training to be Provided

  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance & Installation - Cycles pathway;
  • Cytech 2;
  • Level 2 Certificate in Cycle Maintenance;
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English & IT if applicable
  • Employee Responsibilities and Rights
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills.

Working weekly hours

Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri 08.30-17.30 Thu 08.30-19.00, Sat 08.30-17.00 Some bank holidays, No Sundays at present Work is agreed with all staff on a rota system. Staff only work 5 days a week and if working on a Saturday will be given a day off in the week

Skills Required

Customer service skills and/or retail experience will be beneficial 


Qualifications Required

**3 x GCSEs at grades A*-E (or equivalent) including Maths and English (or predicted)
