Vacancy Description
An online garden machinery retailer is seeking key member of staff to assist with day-to-day running of the small, busy, family business. Full training will be given.
Applicants should be mechanically-minded, keen to learn about garden machinery products with a view to minimal assembly and offering customers advice.
Key Tasks & Accountabilities:
- Sales order processing of website-generated orders
- Telephone sales orders
- Picking and booking on with courier of stock orders
- Ordering of non-stock orders from UK distributors via purchase order and online ordering systems, together with progress chasing
- Customer service including:
- Keeping customers up-to-date on order status via website back-office and email
- Liaising with customers/couriers over delivery issues
- Using Microsoft Office software packages, Windows Live email, QuickBooks accounts software, bespoke Trade IT website software, various distributor and courier online ordering systems.

Skills Required
- Computer literacy including understanding of Microsoft Office software packages. Training on bespoke/specialist packages and systems will be given.
- Good Numeracy and Literacy.
- General office experience, particularly customer service, would be ideal but is not essential.
