Business Administration Apprentice, Brokerage and Direct Payments Apprentice

Brokerage negotiates home care packages, facilities payment of providers, is responsible for all system input of social care services and administration of Carers Vouchers. Direct Payments deliver all the systems around the administration and monitoring of this service.

 With support and training develop knowledge and skills in business administration including:

 • Using Microsoft Word and Excel to create and maintain documents/databases

• Making financial calculations

• Inputting data onto business systems

• Raising purchase orders/processing invoices

• Responding to and making phone calls

• Responding to and initiating emails using Microsoft Outlook

• Organising meetings using Microsoft Outlook

• Producing meeting minutes

• Filing/Photocopying and general admin duties

• Auditing Direct Payments

• Attend client visits

Please be aware there is no direct public transport available to the workplace. The nearest town is Shefford. The apprentice will also be required to work out of our Dunstable Office (Watling House, Dunstable LU6 1LF) throughout the year for which transport can be arranged.

 

Training to be Provided

Diploma in Business Administration

Functional Skills; Maths, English & ICT (If Applicable)

Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)

Qualifications Required

GCSE Maths Grade A-C. GCSE English Grade A-D or ability to meet functional skills requirements at level 1 as part of the apprenticeship framework
